About This Home
As you enter Tamarisk House you are immediately struck by the beautiful lakeside view ahead of you. Walking straight through the generous cinema room with wall mounted 86” HD Smart TV, Street Fighter arcade machine and a wide variety of board games suitable for all the family, you come to the sun deck with direct lake access via a secure gate and steps. There is a large seating area with coffee table and a 6-person hot-tub to relax and take in the beautiful view. You may also be lucky enough to spot the estates resident Heron or “Peking Duck” and her family who often like to swim up and say hi. Additionally on the ground floor is a double bedroom with direct terrace access, bunk bed room, large family bathroom and ample storage for shoes and coats.
On the first floor you will find a further 3 bedrooms all with en-suite. The master bedroom has direct access to the middle terrace, offering a peaceful space for morning coffee and a read of the newspaper. A further double bedroom and a bright and airy twin room completes the sleeping accommodation.
The top floor of Tamarisk House is a truly wonderful space with open plan living/dining and kitchen areas all with fabulous views over the lake. Stretching the entire width of the property there are 4 double sofas, a contemporary log burner and a 55” HD Smart TV. The beautiful oak dining table seats 8 comfortably.
The superbly equipped kitchen with quartz work surfaces and an island unit incorporates 2 separate single ovens, 5 burner gas hob and extractor. There is a large fridge freezer, microwave and integral dishwasher providing guests with everything they need to make their stay a fabulous one. The cloak/utility room provides an additional fridge/freezer, washing machine and access to 3 drying racks.
The upstairs terrace has a range of outdoor furniture including a swing chair, dining table with large, fully adjustable parasol, sun loungers and a Weber gas BBQ with a full range of Weber accessories.

Lovely clean holiday house over 3 stories – Nicky was a great host and very responsive over emails etc. Very comfortable beds and two living rooms, a great kitchen and large dining table.
The setting is gorgeous with 3 balconies on different floors (ground floor has a hot tub) each overlooking a lake – we spotted ducks, moorhens, swans and fish.
We went for a couple of walks outside the estate to local pubs (book well ahead for large groups), and used the onsite spa which has an inside & outside pool, plus a small and very cold eco-pool, sauna and steam room. There’s a restaurant/pub/v small ‘essentials’ shop onsite too, and you can hire paddle boards, canoes etc from the ‘Activity Hub’ too.

We recently stayed at this Airbnb in the Cotswolds for a surprise 40th birthday celebration, and it certainly exceeded our expectations. The property was very picturesque and tranquil, offering a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle.
The house provided plenty of space, allowing everyone to feel comfortable without being on top of each other. One of the highlights was the lakeside location, which allowed us to easily access the water from the jetty with our paddle boards.

Lower Mill Estate is a haven. Nicky’s place was beautiful. Stunning lake view and lots of space inside and out. Plenty of kitchen amenities and onsite activities. Would recommend.

Had a great week with the whole family. Accommodation was spacious and well equipped. The access onto the lake was great as the children could get straight on the lake with the paddle boards etc. We also had access to the spa which had an indoor and outdoor pool which the children loved.
Would definitely recommend this property for a holiday.

We had a great stay at Tamarisk over the bank holiday. The location was perfect, easy access to the lake which meant we were in and out of the lake during our stay. The addition of the hot tub was a real treat to warm up in. The house was clean, well equipped and exactly as described. We’ve stayed at Lower Mill Estate several times and always wanted to stay at Tamarisk as everyone there always seemed tp be having fun. It didn’t disappoint and hopefully well be back again one day. Three generations, 9 people, stayed for a few days for a family Christmas break. The place was perfect for all of us. There was plenty of space for us all, the layout was great. The cinema room and hot tub were great for fun. We really needed to stay for longer to appreciate all of the nearby facilities, but there was enough for us to do in the property. We booked this in December 2021 so we had waited almost a year to get there and it didn’t disappoint. I messaged Nicky a few times throughout the year and she was always helpful and quick to respond.
We would all love to return at some point.

What a fantastic home and estate. So much for all the family to do from tennis to soft play to kayaking to just reading a book next to the lake. The house is beautiful and in such a quiet and tranquil setting right on the lake. We had three generations stay together and there was plenty of space for all of us not to feel on top of each other. Nicky was absolutely brilliant. So accommodating allowing us to check in early and check out late and always so quick to respond to any of our queries. We would love to come back again soon!

We were a group of ladies of a certain age and had a fabulous stay in Tamarisk. Beds very comfortable and lovely linen. Kitchen had everything you needed – really well equipped – even sharp knives! We played tennis , enjoyed the indoor pool and the Mill pool , had a 10 mile hike , SUP’d on the lake directly from the property, and really enjoyed our bubbly in the hot tub. Also hired a Katakanu from the activity centre for a couple of fun hours on the lake. We’ll be back hopefully ! Thank you Nicky.

Where to start? Tamarisk is beautiful. The moment you walk through the door you know you’re going to have a lovely time. The views from all 3 balconies were fantastic, everything had been thought of – the house is so well equipped and the hot tub was the icing on the cake. We loved it.

A beautiful house in the most gorgeous setting Comfortable rooms. Comfortable beds. Well heated throughout, perfect for the wet and windy days we had. The hot tub was so clean and easy to use. Lovely to be able to relax and chill out. Monroe Homes were fabulous, so quick to respond to my questions and very helpful throughout the booking process and whilst we were there. I’ve already passed the details on to a few friends, so if you like this place book it before it gets snapped up by someone else.

A beautiful home on a lake in the Cotswolds. Lower Mill Estate is a beautiful destination for family or friends to enjoy water sports, cycling, fishing or even wine and great food. Tamarisk House is the perfect house for a group to enjoy the gorgeous lakes and time with loved ones. We also had three young children with us and the house was brilliantly equipped for them. Communication was great and everything we needed was there. Highly recommend.

A lovely family visit for my 60th birthday! What a lovely house – room for all of us. We swam, paddle boarded and had a bbq – so relaxing! Loved the London/Pompey photos too as worked in London and my husband from Pompey!
